The property belonged to Greg “Jarew” Markson as he was later identified. The witness who filmed the incident, JJ Harris, posted it on Twitter and it has been viewed nearly 750,000 times.

Leilani Estates, some 12 miles from the volcano, was evacuated due to the risk of sulfur dioxide gas, which can be life threatening at high levels.
