Nicaragua human chain calls for Ortega ousterThousands of Nicaraguans formed a human chain Wednesday to demand the departure of President Daniel Ortega and an end to months of violence that has left at least 220 people dead. Waving blue and white Nicaraguan flags, the demonstrators lined one of the main roads leading from the capital Managua in the latest high-profile protest against the 72-year-old president. “The people have risen up and we are telling Comandante Ortega to leave, to resign, the people are not afraid of him,” said a 27-year old protester with a flag in his hand.

Boeing Will Manage the Supply Chain for the Bronco II Counterinsurgency PlaneBoeing will manage the supply chain for the Paramount Group’s Advanced High-Performance Reconnaissance Light Aircraft (AHRLAC) counterinsurgency plane—called the Bronco II in the United States—through its subsidiary Aviall. Aviall will support supply chain procurement and management for AHRLAC production for all versions of the aircraft including both military variants. Meanwhile, Boeing’s Global Services unit will provide software-based solutions that enable centralized command and control of flight operations and produce total lifecycle support that reduces sustainment costs, the company said.
