Sex addictions are deeply misunderstood. A new classification could change that.

A  new classification of sex addiction as a mental disorder by WHO could monumentally shift the conversation surrounding a condition that’s often deeply misunderstood.  Experts hope the classification will help change the disorder’s perception from a moral failing to simply a medical issue.

Student Chefs Are Cooking Up Change at ED

Recently, student chefs from six cities across the country were at the Department of Education to participate in the Cooking up Change National Finals. These talented students earned their way by winning local competitions in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Orange County and Troy, Alabama. They engaged in a cook-off that saw the team from Orange County win first place and the team from Houston win second.

Seeing yourself as Einstein may change the way you think

People experiencing Albert Einstein’s body as their own through a virtual reality simulation were less likely to unconsciously stereotype older people, while those with low self-esteem scored better on a cognitive test. The results suggest that the experience allowed people with low self-esteem to change how they saw themselves and increase their cognitive potential. The technique could be useful for education, particularly for those with low self-esteem.
