Putin, Macron diverge on Iran deal as Trump decides

Putin, Macron diverge on Iran deal as Trump decidesRussian President Vladimir Putin and French leader Emmanuel Macron launched a joint defence of the Iranian nuclear deal on Monday but expressed differences on how to move forward as US President Donald Trump weighs up whether to scrap it. Trump decides not to hire two lawyers whose appointment was announced last week

The President’s lead lawyer on the investigation, John Dowd, resigned last week, reportedly after Mr Dowd’s strategy for cooperating with the probe became increasingly at odds with the President’s desire to cast doubt on the fairness of the inquiry.
