Prosecutors will aim to wrap up their tax and bank fraud case against former Donald Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort, making it likely the case will go to the jury by midweek if the defence decides not to call any witnesses. The trial is in its 10th day in Alexandria, Virginia, federal court and is not scheduled to resume until Monday afternoon. Mr Manafort is facing a number of bank fraud and tax charges, which he denies, in the first case to go to trial in connection with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian election meddling and possible collusion with Trump campaign officials.
